I really should edit this more often... As of mid-2009, I'm in a teacher certification program. I was in grad school for not quite forever before deciding that, no, that wasn't really what I wanted to do. The current plan is to teach high school biology.

Athena is my (roughly) 8-year-old brown tiger cat. She's named after the Greek goddess of war and wisdom, as well as Professor McGonagall, as Minerva is the Roman equivalent of Athena.

I'm sort of a serial monogamist with my fandoms, though the ones I'm in tend to hold tight for a long time, and I never *quite* leave them. Currently, I'm primarily into Doctor Who and Torchwood. I haven't completely abandoned my most long-term fandoms of Harry Potter and Buffy/Angel, though, and I occasionally touch base with Pirates of the Caribbean or others.

I do read things regularly, though I tend to be bad at actually commenting, much less posting.
